Its funny how history repeats itself.

Back when i was in my last year of my Poly studies, i was with E***y [for a short while]..

I had to repeat another semester due to lack of motivation to study. Shortly later, she left me. Probably because i could not provided for the life she wanted.

Now again, during my last year of study in Uni, i flunked a couple of modules, to which i now have to repeat a year or so...

Same reasons why i failed. And now i wonder if MC's feel the same reason as E***y to leave me.

I shall be alone these few days as i broke the news to MC after hiding the truth from her for so long.

I am sure no one knows about this except for a mini small finger full. Maybe now more will know [if anyone crosses this path].

What i will be doing for the next few days alone physically and mentally and emotionally... i do not know... i hope that MC will reply me within the next few days [if i remain hopeful]

Its now mid way through the 7th lunar month.

The auspiciously scary month where ghosts both good and bad roam the streets/road/field/everywhere.

And being the 15th day [therefore mid of the month] buddhists have to be vegetarian for reasons i do not know of.

On top of that, they're burning more joss sticks and 'money' for 'those-who-roam'.

My gosh you should have seen the amount of incense they burned. It was a local made haze waiting to be labelled as that from the indonesia.

Its like for a day they turn arsonist. And singapore has a nation-wide be-an-arsonist-for-a-day day.

Whatever happened to saving mother earth?

Can't blame them though. Its been tradition for so many generations.

And singaporeans are quite stubborn too!

I suggest that there be also be a 'burning' zone for these kind of burning. Not just any road side or open area.

I suggest a yellow box. A burning zone.

I suggest there be a make shift container/room for burning. Let them suffocate in all their make shift haze.

Japanese Summer Festival

Went to this Japanese Summer Festival with MC.

Its located at the Japanese School in Singapore at changi area.

I met MC at her home after my afternoon paper. We took a bus down to Singapore Expo as there was a shuttle service to and fro the Japanese School.

Upon reaching Sing Expo, MC saw this Watson banner showing that they have up to 80% sale in one of their Hall and she went OOHOHHHHHH!!!!!

She has to go, i had to follow.

Took quite a while to walk around and queue to pay.

Afterwhich we walked over to the pick up point for the shuttle service.

Upon reaching the Jap Sch, it was packed like MAD CRAP. [didn't know it was that publicized]

There were japanese girls in kimono, japanese guys in their male version and japanese families wearing the whole package.

There were even singaporeans wearing them [although their own suit was crappy]

The festival had game stalls, performances, anime portrait stall and lots of food.

We heading straight to food as it was already nearing 7 when we reached.

Being damn packed mad, the queue for this stall was very very long.

By the time it was our turn to order, it was already 930pm. Nearly all the food stalls and everything was closed. All the food was sold out except 2 types of food.

We only managed to order red bean and chocolate pancake. 2 hrs just for pancakes.

Sigh.

Thankfully the stall beside was clearing their food and no one wanted to buy [being 930pm and it was selling rice items]

Bought those, went to find seats, sat, eat, ate, left.

Walked a little more and being shit tired, we left for my place.

We wasted our whole time queueing for food and missed all the performances and games.

CRAP

What a waste of time

In regards to the previous post, i think i was quite mean to her.

Anyway i feel that although i was quite heartbroken when she broke the news to me the last time, i now realise why she did so.

Looking at her yesterday and with most of her talk related to work work work.

I thank her for seeing far into the future. To know that i'm not for her and also that i cannot keep up for her.

Although i liked her last time, i'm pretty much sure she knew i couldn't change for her.

Thank you for not wasting both our time. Thanks for thinking for me. Thanks for being my friend then and now.

I just came back from my secondary school class outing.

The last one was quite some time back that i can't recall.

As usual the turnout of people is rather little and its always the same few people who turn up too.

Caught up on whats been going on in the life.

Girls working and guys studying. Nothing much. Same old. Same old.

Going off track, my ex was at the outing too. [She's from the same class too]

And initially it was quite awkward but after a while we warmed up talking to each other. [it has to happen sooner or later right?]

While listening to her talking about her work and everything, i could see that its really different from what i used to see her for when in sec school.

Before reaching i was worried that i might have that kind of 'OH NO WHAT IF I STILL HAVE FEELINGS FOR HER' feeling.

But after sitting down and talking to her a little while and listening too, i realised its all gone.

She is totally different from what i used to see in her, what i used to like from her.

To top if all off, she now smokes. Realised only when we were heading to my friend's car for a ride back home. And i was shocked. REAL shocked

I went over to her and asked.

KoL: i didn't know you smoke
She: ha ya but i don't really smoke

KoL: *gave the 'hmmm?' face*
She: i only take from people [meaning she's more of a social smoker]

KoL: oh..
She: *silence*

KoL: anyway try not to smoke
She: abit only la. i only smoke when got people smoke around me

KoL: well its still not healthy

*silence* then...

She: i'm just starting to learn [her profession requires her to entertain cilents therefore i see the validity of her reasoning]

By this point, i totally felt disappointed and disgusted cause she was smoking.

Disappointed because i totally despise girls who smoke and she has joined their ranks

Disgusted because of 'reason' she gave.

I think its stupid to learn how to smoke given the fact that she's 24 now.

Smoking is a bad lifestyle. You do not learn things like this. You pick it up.

Your choice in life is to pick up smoking. Why? because she do not want to put her cilent down if they offer her a drink or smoke.

This bit protrays she has chosen work over her well-being.

Yes i know ultimately by doing so, she can acquire more favourability and business. But that shows how strong your principles in life are.

Went across the border quite again to City Square in JB.

Bought only a lanyard for my DJ Max Trilogy ThumbDrive, a red/grey checkered short sleeve shirt, couple sticks of 'illegal-in-Singapore' gum and a magazine.

Spent most of money on food.

MC on the other hand bought alot more, leaving a tiny fraction of Riggit she initially had brought.

Hundreds of Singaporeans waddled in packs at both sides of the causeway. Bet many of them took the long weekend in M'sia.

Went to Changi Airport at 1.30am to pick Dad up.

And the mom was carrying her kid in a backpack manner.

The kid is like 1-2 year old girl. And being that young, and at this time, its natural for the her to be damn tired.

So she was sleeping while her mom backpacked her to the airport.

Amazed i was at how the mom can just boh chup [don't care] her baby girl.

Played a little DJ Max Trilogy.

Getting better slowly.

Now reaching Level 9 on 6 Buttons. [meaning i still can't do that well for that level]

And i must say i feel its way harder than JuBeat.

Although at 1st thought you might think that JuBeat is harder because there are 16 buttons.

BUT think about it. 16 buttons means its more spread out and its easier to see.

For JuBeat the keys only appears. It don't move down like DJ Max.

And because JuBeat is like a memory game [you move more you remember more] its easier to catch.

Don't know if you agree but you try 6 buttons level 10 and get perfect then see where you'll stand.

Anyway a short summary of yesterday.

The Late Incident
Woke up at noon cause of DJ Max. I installed and played til 4am+

Addictive game man.

Then i went out to get food for my brother as he was playing his own game and cause he went on a shitty jungle training so let me rest and relax.

As it was raining, had to carry umbre.

The Kid Incident
Went to central [in pasir ris] to get lunch and while waiting for the traffic light to turn red and the mini hulk to appear i saw this small boy covering his head to protect himself from the rain.

I naturally walked over and sheltered him.

Initially he looked stunned and just let it be.

When the hulk appeared we crossed the road and the more we walked, the more he looked paranoid.

Maybe his mom told him about the usual don't talk to strangers and also about the paedo incident in the papers.

Guess he got scared as i followed him all the way until he was under a HDB block. Oh well whatever. As long as i felt i did something good can already.

Then i came back home with lunch for brother and me, ate, slacked then went off for my RT.

The RT incident
Our usual PTI [Physical Training Instructor] was on leave or something so another one took us. Went for 5 different exercises today.

1st - Interval running. Ran 6 x 400m rounds within the stipulated timing given by the PTI

Its run 1 round then rest about 2 mins, and run another round afterwards. Below states my timing.

So 1st round was slow jog, 2nd round was 1min45sec, 3rd round was 2min, 4th round was 2min 15 sec, and 5th and 6th round run non-stop and it was 4min30sec.

2nd - sit up. all the different shit variation.

Terrible sit up routine. Can't recall how many sets and stuff but ugh.

3rd - leg raises. this is because 2nd training was core abs so the PTI said now do lower abs.

More mofolious then the sit up. Retarded and couldn't do the last routine.

4rd - Pull ups.

Need i say more?

5th and Last - Gym session for light training.

I did my own routine for deltoids.

After all 5 exercises, changed, took bus and met MC. Reached tampines at around 9.10pm.

The Dinner Incident
So while waiting for MC i went to keep my earphones.

But low and behold i lost my pouch. Sigh. Dropped it outside the camp i was at for RT. Crap.

Went Carls Jr to eat [late] dinner and went to MC's home to help her install her new games. 1 of her game has alot of things to learn before she can play.

Even i was lazy to read.

The Home Incident
I left her place after midnight and reached home by 12.45am

Went to shower and played a bit of DJ Max to dry my hair.

Played a bit and decided to blog and who knew i typed so much.

So now its late and i need to wake up early to meet MC in the morning to accompany her for checkup.

Today marks the beginning of Phase 2 of my RT.

The new schedule is 3 days. 1 up from the 2 from Phase 1.

Saturdays - 1600 to 2000

Mondays and Wednesdays - 1800 to 2200

Damn crap.

But its also a good time for me to lose weight and get healthy.

Feel [physically] terrible these few days.

Think RT is a good thing too.

I intent to buy this game.

DJ Max Trilogy! [for PC]

The game follows much of its PSP predecessor. It is basically a rhythm action game that requires [Hand-Eye] coordination and accuracy.

The difficulty has 5 different levels and it ranges from 4 keys to 8 keys.

There is also the fever gauge when 'perfect' notes are pressed. Once fully charged, the 'Fever' can be activated.

Fever gives you 2x to 5 x multiplier depending on how 'zai' you are.

Songs are from previous DJ Max games and news ones too. Total of 120 songs.

There are 1000 note patterns, 900 unlockables and many many missions.

And in order to copyright it and not make it available for piracy, a special USB profile key comes with the game. It is needed to be plugged in in order to play and acts as the player profile too.

I freaking failed my IPPT.

I know its no point giving excuses but seriously i got several issues to bring out.

Short intro
The place i did my IPPT at is at Bedok FCC which is situation within Guards Camp/Unit.

Their IPPT is done electronically where everything in more or less electronic [duh]

It uses sensors to detect all the essential movements needed at each points of every station.

Take for example SBJ [Standing Broad Jump]. The machine senses the back of the feet yada yada and voila your results.

The Reasons
Shuttle run - The machine at the shuttle run starts at 1 sec instead of 0 which was wtf therefore about 80% failed

2.4km - The whole IPPT was supposed to start at 5pm but in the end because of the good old 'wait-to-rush' and 'rush-to-wait' shit, it started only at 6.30?

And by then i'm dying cause no dinner. Even a snack before my IPPT couldn't help.

Oh well, whats done is over and whats over can't be touched. No point brooding the crap out of it.

Leaving for my 2nd Driving Lesson so i'll just summerize what i did yesterday.

Ate Subway for dinner yesterday after an evening swim with ken boy, jin leong, bear, j-low and MC

Afterwhich went to the shift leader of subway to ask if they have any vacancy for part-time.

I felt reluctant cause it felt so weird asking.

But oh well i took an application form and started writing away. Finished and passed it back to the shift leader and wait....... . . . . . . .

Hopefully i'll get a favourable reply and get to work and get a bit of cashflow.

There was mini Carrefour sale at Downtown over the weekend. The area was quite small and they sold quite a few stuff like toys, dvds, bags..etc.

They had a corner that sold books too!! [at an affordable price]

But the problem is that there were mini mountains and finding the book you want is quite annoying and troublesome.

Lucky for me i was able to help MC find the 1st and last book of the shopaholic series. [Made popular again by the movie release]

The books went for $6 each so i guess that was a good buy.

For today, met Kenneth and MC in the morning for UniQlo shopping. Managed to reach Tampines 1 when it opened and headed to UniQlo when it was opening its doors.

Initially there weren't that many people inside but after 30mins it was starting to swarm like ants on a picnic mat.

We stuck there from 10am to 12++, escaping the horde, and went to eat a Carl's Jr.

Went to walk the rest of the mall after lunch and UniQlo had the queue thing again to regulate the flow of customers going in. Phew us.

I got 1 UT 1 Polo
MC got 3 tops [all UT]
Kenneth got 1 pants 1 UT 3 pairs of socks 3 simple tops

I spent $49.80
MC spent $64.70

Overall my verdict is...

UniQlo is new in Singapore. It does have some new and vibrant clothing design. The cheap pricing as a sales tactic worked wonders.

But the shopping experience falled short as there were too many people and waiting became its bane.

So just wait maybe 1-2 weeks down the road to visit the Mall. It would be alot more pleasing with less people bumping into you. But if you haven't go and can't wait, then you should more or less know what to expect.

So i went to Tampines 1 yesterday, it was quite crowded like my Dad said.

UniQlo was retarded. Why?? cause there is a queue!! Hello Kitty anyone?

Lets put this in a simple equation.

so anyhow.... BodyShop sale was at 11am. So we waiting in line [damn long queue].

And because all the women are gaga over BodyShop items, i think they all should be labelled as Lady GaGa.

So it was crowded and i told MC to be quick and faster decide what she want to get.

MC bought quite a few things and because its rather costly [for her wallet], i have come to a conclusion that as a BF [a good one] i have decided to sponsor half of it.

and the 'quickie' was so fast that the IT Show [at 12noon] was not open yet. So off to Carls Jr. for a 'biggie'.

Given the fact that i've been rear-ended and slapped in the face by projects, doing research is part and parcel of it all.

Take one of my subjects last semester, History of Management Thought.

if your first reaction was.. 'wtf is that?? what kind of module is this?', then you are normal =D

So this HMT module basically is to understand, learn and identify management theories and who their founders are. When they did it, under what circumstances they were under for them to create the theory, etc...

Therefore research is obviously necessary.

With research you learn.

And when you learn your knowlegde is broadened.

We should constantly learn new things if not you're bound to...'die'?

About him playing as a widow dad with 3 daughters. They all went to his parents

place for a whole family meet up. He then falls in love with a lady from a bookstore

there who co-incidently happens to be his brother's girlfriend.

Been smack by a DAMN BASKETBALL in my face Twice this week on 2 seperate occasion.

1st Time was by this guy Ming Wei.

He and me were on different sides

He did some fanciful pass and it didn't end up on his team mate's hands but on my face instead

I dun get angry easily so when something happen just do not ask if i am ok [which i definitely won't be] and touch me

Cause when that happen i will get really angry

SO....when the ball 'zam' my face, i told him not to touch me but i have no idea why he kept touching me and keep asking if i'm alright.

In the end i told him to 'fish' off [but he still kept coming]

This time it was also a fanciful move but he did not use his hands.

Today's Dinner was filled with memories and love

My Mom cooked this dish that my Grandma cooked with i was younger

Off-Topic

Ever since i was born, My Grandma took care of me.

Well it started when my sister [who is older than i am] was born and ever since then, has moved into my family and took care of us [the siblings Goh]

Growing up with Grandma [we call her Mama cause maybe its a peranakan thing?][Yes i am a Peranakan] was such a wonderful moment.

She love us so much and dote on us always but that doesn't make her falter as she would whip up the cane if we misbehaved

And i believed i got most of it *ouch*

I recall the packets of tidbit she got for us. You know the mamee snack and machoman snack? she didn't just get a few, she got the whole big pack [consisting of 20?30?] back home!

Well that could explain my size.

And i would run around the house, escaping from the cane in her right hand. She was 60+ at that time and boy could she run.

Her cooking was legendary. her range of porridge, her style of carrot cake, the traditional fare. SATAY PORK with loads of chilli!! *drool*

Aiyo so many different cooking/dishes she has

Whenever she won some money in through Singapore Pools, she would give us some of her cash winnings. She would always tell us not to tell Mommy [my mom]

There will always be a little extra money in our Ang Bao too each Chinese New Year =D

Gosh there is so much to say and thinking about it rushes in alot of Memories about her

Sadly, Mama passed on April 15, 2006 at the age of 84 [wow that quite long]

But she has gone to a better place.

Writing this brings a tear to my eye and tears in my heart
