As you may have heard, Gong Li is now a citizen of Singapore [As of Nov 10 2008]
and apparently her home country, China and her citizens are making a big hoo-hah over it. And calling her a traitor and turning her back against China.
like woah man those people have some issues.
I'm sure if given the choice, they will leave their country...
Look at the reputation they put on themselves..
Examples:
1. Beijing Olympics song: lip-synch girl found to be replacement for original girl that was too 'ugly'
2. Segment showing all ethnic groups are fake [most from 1 big ethnic]
3. Tainted milk products that cause THOUSANDS of infants to be in a SHIT state
4. Many china products are tainted with melamine
5. Most recent murders in Singapore are all by China-chinese
What else more you want?? Tak Malu ah?
At least Gong Li saw a better perspective in Singapore. Is there any wrong in looking for a better life for yourself?
Being a citizen of another country, to me, is simply a choice you choose. You may not like the country's rules or law so you switch.
No point staying in agony right?
